
KSHIMSS 2011 Fall Educational Symposium
The Kansas Chapter of HIMSS is hosting its 2011 Fall Educational Symposium for members and nonmembers on Friday, October 21 in Wichita. This full day of education will be held at the Hilton Wichita Airport. This program has been submitted for review and approval of continuing education (CE) hours for use in fulfilling CE requirements for CPHIMS.
The Keynote Address titled “The EHR Journey from Adoption to Meaningful Use” will be presented by Denni McColm, CIO, Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri. CMS received the HIMSS Davis Award of Excellence in 2005, was recognized as a HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 Hospital in 2010, the first rural hospital to reach this stage, and has already qualified for Medicare and Medicaid EHR incentive payments for Meaningful Use in2011.
